DSU scholarships

2026/2027 ACADEMIC YEAR

Note: The information available on this page will be updated each academic year as new calls for applications for DSU Scholarships are issued. If you view this page and it still displays information from the previous academic year, it means that the scholarships for the current academic year have not yet been announced.

Call for applications for special scholarships for students with disabilities and student assistants supporting the inclusion of students with disabilities, enrolled at the UMH for the 2026/2027 academic year.

Required Documentation

To apply for DSU Scholarships, you must submit the following documentation:

  • Appendix II: Application. Official form where the applicant provides personal and academic information to apply for the scholarship.
  • Appendix III: Statement of Purpose. Document where the applicant details the reasons and motivations for applying for the scholarship.
  • Appendix IV: Family Information. A form specifying the composition and financial situation of the applicant’s household.
  • A photocopy of the  National Identity Card/NIE of each eligible member of the household. A copy of the identification document for all family members considered in the scholarship evaluation.
  • Appendix V: Third-Party Registration Form. Form to record the applicant’s bank information, required for scholarship payment.
  • If you are a large family or are eligible for a discount or exemption on the price of public transit passes, please provide the document proving this. Official proof verifying your status as a large family or your eligibility for discounts.
  • Certificate of Degree of Disability issued by the competent authority. Official document verifying the applicant’s degree of disability.

How to Submit the Required Documentation via the UMH Online Portal.

To submit the documentation for your DSU Scholarship application, you must follow these steps:

  1. Log in to the UMH Online Portal. Go to: UMH Portal Website (Opens in a new tab)
  2. Go to the “Catalog of Procedures and Services” section located on the left-hand side, marked with a folder icon.
  3. Once in the “Catalog of Procedures and Services” section, go to the “General Application” subsection, which is located within the “General Affairs” category.
  4. Within “General Application,” access the process by clicking “Process.”
  5. In the General Request section titled “Application,” select the recipient: Office of the Vice Rector for Culture, Equality, and Diversity.
  6. In that same section, under the “State/Request” subsection, write: “Attach the Application for Scholarships for Students with Disabilities.”
  7. Finally, in the next section, “Attachments to the Application,” upload the necessary documentation to apply for the UAD Scholarship. Once you’ve uploaded everything, click “Submit to the Registry,” and you’re all set.

Application Deadline: The application period will open on September 1 and close on September 30.

List of accepted applications.

In this section, two lists will be published: a provisional list and a final list. This list indicates that the applications meet the initial requirements and criteria established and may proceed to the next phase of the process.

If your application appears as rejected on the provisional list, you have 5 business days from the publication of the list in the UMH Official Bulletin (BOUMH) to correct the application.

Publication of Award Decisions.

This section contains two lists: the Rector’s Resolution on Provisional Awards and the Final Resolution on UAD Scholarships. This document represents the final outcome of the evaluation and selection process and details the final list of recipients who have been selected to receive the scholarship.

Provisional List: Lists the individuals who have been provisionally awarded the scholarship and the amount allocated.

 

If you wish to file an appeal: you have 5 DAYS to do so via the Online Portal.
